Hi,

I would like to connect the superdrive from my old dead 17" PowerBook externally (via USB or firewire) to my new MacBookPro. It is a super816CA or Matsushita model UJ-816-C superdrive. Are there any caddys or external casings of any kind, which would work? I know they use their own IDE socket and there is no eject button, but is anyone aware of any companies manufacturing a box, which would allow one of these drives to be connected externally? Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.

ONE HERE from a company that i do a lot of business with and trust.

lots of 'cheaper' deals on ebay, but they don't include the drive interface board. just watch out!
