If you swap the DC to DC board too, it ought to work. (Thats the one by the battery, NOT the power jack.) Not actually tried it though, but the LCD is the same, LVDS connector is fine. Battery will work. The DC in board looks the same, though I guess you might need one of those too. And drives are drives. Its possible you might need the cables/connectors, some of the later PBs had different ATA arrangements. Probably just the 15", but it might be the 12" too.
The mounts for the boards are the same. I guess you might need the right heat sink, but from memory those are the same too. Its certainly doable. You might try a local repair centre for a unit with a dead board. Maybe you could buy the rest of the bottom half.
