I had been meaning to ask my dad if I could make an aquarium out of our family's old Mac Plus, like I had seen online. It had been sitting in a travel case in their garage for around 15 years. Little did I know he was building it already, to give to me for Christmas. One of the most thoughtful presents I've received in a while.

I'm planning on doing the same with an iMac G3 . It's a pretty funny story though, it reminds me of a book I read when I was a child.

What type of filter ist it using? Air pump?

Yeah, air pump. The bigger tank you can fit in an iMac would definitely give you more options as far as fish goes. I'm pretty limited with my little 2 gallon tank.

Right now I'm thinking of either turning it into an aquarium or a bed for my cat.
With two gallons you can only have one fish, right? Also, why don't you get a water filter? It will extend the time in between water changes.

Er, maybe I misunderstood. It pumps the water through a filter. It's at the back top of the tank so you can't really see it in the picture. I have a couple little ~1" 'starter fish' in there right now. I think they're zebra danios but I'm not sure. I'm still learning this stuff. I read the rule of thumb is 1 gallon for every inch length of fish you have. So if I got a betta, it would have to be just one.

Nice I didn't know the rule of thumb, so thanks!

Best wishes to your fish,
