I'm working on a project where i'll have to dismantle an Apple 15" LCD and a G4 Cube.
That's right, we'll buy them brand new, and take the plastic parts off of them, because we need to have the metal parts showing.

<BACKGROUND>
The Project will be this mutant-mac built into an aluminium structure showing a web interface with a QT streaming feed (LAN) and control over 4-5 camera inputs (which you can switch with a CGI) with multiple presets (Since 2 cameras can move).
</BACKGROUND>

<REQUEST>
Are there any PDF files or documents from Apple that show how to service the G4 Cube and 15" LCD so that it would help us take those apart?
I spoke with a salesman who told me they could NOT repair the Cube and LCD in house, they HAD to send it to Apple, something of an anti-theft procedure, so that thieves can't send stolen hardware to service centers.
</REQUEST>

Any help would be appreciated, otherwise, we're going to have to figure it out for ourselves, and since I inspected the 15" LCD already, it won't be easy to take the clear plastic off.

Thanks for the help.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
the future is not what it used to be.

You're lucky. Apple just changed their plans about cubes etc; they will allow a large number of authorised resellers to fix them themselves. http://www.macnn.com/feature.php?id=190 for more info.
