I beleive it has 3 or 4 slots and is 68 pin. It is a Apple card, but not sure if it came w/the mac, as i got it used.

I would like to find at least 6 megs total or more.

If you can let me no what and where to look.

Thanks

Does the cars plug into the nubus? or is it the standard PDS accellerated video card that came with most 7100s? If it plugs into the PDS slot (a flat interface) or the nubus (which is a wide connection with dozens of pins). I believe the most vRAM you could put on the accellerated cards was 4MB. I have one of these cards and it runs great.

If its a nubus card, anything goes. You'll want to know what kind of card it is: who makes it, the model, etc.

I think the best cards for nubus where the Thunder IV cards from radius. Anyone with other suggestions?

I also have a 7100/80. It has 4 RAM slots, but those are for RAM-you can get a total of 138 megs. It has 2 VRAM slots that can hold 1 MB each, mine is maxed at 2 megs. The only way to upgrade would be a nubus graphics card, I don't know where to get those.

on all of the 7100 series came with PDS cards, either the AV version that has S-video in and out along with the standard mac montor connector. the other option has 4 V-ram slots I with the max of 2 megs of V-ram. the AV card has 2 Megs built in, some of the non-AV card had only 1 meg. I do have a number of extra V-ram chips e-mail me if you are intrested.
