I have been scoping out eBay lately for an old iBook. I want to get one as cheap as possible, I don't care about performance, I just want to be able to use it for doing basic schoolwork AT school.

Anyway, I want to give it a custom paint job when I get one. Is there any specific type of paint that would work best? What about a finish or clear coat for protection? I'm not talking about just changing the color, I want to put a custom design on it.

I think I remember reading something about this somewhere but I just can't find it anywhere. Any advice would be appreciated!

I hate everyone equally.

since the ibook is made of polycarbonate, you'll need to use pectra race finish polycarbonate spray paint. its designed for lexan bodies for rc cars, so it'll stick well, and stay stuck.

Thanks sine. I remember seeing pictures of your "sinebook," which was rad.

Ok, is there "pectra race finish polycarbonate" paint that I could use by applying it with a brush, rather than spray paint? I want to do a rather detailed design on the casing.

Also, will this type of paint be resistant to the oils/sweat off of my hands? Does the paint have a matte or glossy type of look to it?

I hate everyone equally.
