I dunno. This just seems too obvious, but what the hell. I bet you could make some cash dishing out custom metal sheets with the correct screw holes for Macintosh motherboards.

For those of you who don't know, when you buy an ATX case of any size it comes with a metal sheet that has a bunch of holes on it. The mobo latches onto plastic pegs that stick into the sheet, which in turn sticks into the side of the case. This properly lines up the motherboard with the PCI slots, drive bays, etc.

How about just selling that metal sheet with the holes that support a small range of Mac motherboards (8500/9500, 8600/9600/G3, G4 Yikes, G4 Sawtooth.)

Don't think you could make enough money just selling the boards, maybe sell something else inventive and groovy, but anyhooo... just a thought.

Good idea, but there are as many metal plates to deal with as there are ATX cases.. Now, selling a select few very cool cases with the necessary mods already done on the other hand..

Perhaps a kit with a template for Mac mobo holes that aligns with the standard ATX holes, a drill bit, and self-tappping mounting hardware would work.

There's a company called Alien which makes some really neat looking PC cases. Although they have to stick to the conformity of ATX, they do their best to make them all sorts of weird colors, patterns, even neon lights.

I think Alien could be even more popular if they also sold Mac kits for their cases. Sure, Apple makes soem pretty cool cases, but I don't see any with Neon lights and glowing logos. =)
