Hey,

I've posted this in the Buy & Sell forum, but thought I'd stick it in here too, since any potential buyer would likely visit this forum.

I have for sale a brand new, still sealed keyBORG Keyboard replacement kit, from digitalHipps.

It is the "Ghost" model, translucent keys with no writing on them. These will look really cool on a PowerBook (Pismo or Lombard), or an iBook. I have ordered a Titanium PowerBook and this keyboard will not work on it, so I decided to try and sell it.

Have a look around the gallery on their site to check out the product. They look very cool, I only wish they would fit my Ti Book.

Here are some reviews of the product:

I paid $89 US for this keyboard, plus shipping. I will be putting up an auction on eBay tomorrow, but I'd rather save the hassle and sell it someone here. I'm not sure what to ask for it, but was thinking $65. It's never been used, still perfectly sealed up, and ready to go. I'll pay the shipping. If anyone is interested, email me at murbot@mac.com.

Thanks!

According to what I've read all over DigitalHipps says it'll work on every laptop EXCEPT the iceBook. I am guessing it works on the Ti.

I just realized I didn't say it's only for original iBooks (it is in my eBay ad though).

From what I've read on their site, it's only for Lombards and Pismos. (I don't actually have my Ti yet to check)

I didn't really think they changed the iBook keyboard from the old models to the new dual USB ones, but it does say "original iBooks".

I just read this at their site:

"The keys on the PowerBook G4 are thinner than those on former models, and the structure of the pantograph has also been changed. For this reason, 'keyBORG' is not currently compatible with this model. We are currently working on a 'keyBORG' model for the PowerBook G4, however, and hope to introduce it in a few months."

So unfortunately, it looks like it's no good with the Ti Book.

I guess if the keyboard hasn't changed at all since the original iBooks, it would work with an iceBook. Anyone know if it's changed somehow?
