Really old duallies:604e 180 and 233? on a ~50 MHz bus.
Old duallies:G4 450, 500 on 100 MHz bus.
New duallies:G4 533 and 800 on 133 MHz bus.
The processor(s) is/are on a daughter card much like the old ZIF's. A single has one on the card, with its L2 cache and a dual has both processors and their L2 cache on the daughter card. The new 800 has a small L2 cache on die at processor speed and 1MB L3 at 1/3 speed for each processor on the card. If you're going to get a G4 tower with the express intent of upgrading it later, get a newer one with the 133 MHz bus. If you get a new 733 single, stripped to the minimum, it would be fairly cheap and you can put any 133 based daughter card in it later.
