This was an easy mod to make for my ibook/firewire. It seems like the logo was originally supposed to glow, since the cutout was already there in the sheilding but covered over with tape, but Apple changed their minds.

Key Lime and an LED?

Eek.

Now you're really going to get a lot of attention.

The picture I took of it in the dark is really not as bright as it looks (but it would be cool if it was ) I just had the exposure cranked up. The other two pics are a lot more true to it's brightness. There isn't anything between the backlighting and the translucent green apple logo, so it's nice and bright

I did exactly the same on my tangerine iBook, and I also painted the shielding in bright silver. With the translucent plastic, it really stands out from the crowd.
