Fuggetaboutit.

The problem is not even IF a Cube/iMac CDRW drive would fit, but the fact that even if it did, you just can't get the drives anyway. The CDRW drives currently used in both are OEM-only (Matshita CW-7121) and no Apple/Mac parts dealer has (or is going to have) access to them for at least another several months. Trust me. I looked.

Trust me, if any drive would fit, I'm sure that the manufacturer would sell it to anybody. But the issue is that no CDR drive is thin enough ; not to mention combo CDR/DVD drive !
I must admit that I don't care 'cause I a 4x burner would drive me crazy ! I already think my 8x QPS Fire burner is so ****ing slllloooowwww.
I'm pretty sure that you'll have your drive in a few months.....
Just wait, like everybody else !
