How do you remove the heat sink off of a dual processor gigabit Ethernet model machine's CPUs? And how do you put it back on? I would like to overclock my machine.

I'd like to quote Steve Jobs on my feelings about Microsoft and even Windows, "The only problem with Microsoft is they just have no taste. They have absolutly no taste, and what that means is... I don't mean that in a small way, I mean that in a big way. In the sense that, they don't think of original ideas and they don't bring much culture into their product." and that is one of the main reasons I use Macintosh computers.

There are two spring clips that run across the heatsink to the proc board. Pry an end out with a small screwdriver and the clip will pop off. Once both clips are off, gently rock the heatsink till it lets go. When you replace it, I recommend ditching the tape(keep the paper squares that encircle the G4 chip) and put a dab of Silver heat paste on each processor.
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES turn on the Mac without the heatsink installed. I almost burnt mine up doing that. Processors were so hot they burnt my finger before it was done booting.
