I just got an 80Gb DeskStar to go in my QuickSilver. I'm not sure where to put it, and I don't think I have the proper brackets required for this operation.

Does anybody know of a link (with pics would be great) on how to do this?

Well I got the 80Gb drive in my Quicksilver on my own. Problem is it only seems 31GB of the drive, formatted as Mac OS Extended. I tried deleting the partition, adding back, and reformatting. Still only sees 31GB.

I'm using OS X 10.1..

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This was a known problem and was addressed in a firmware update. Check IBM's site and download the latest version of the firmware, reboot, and your entire drive should be recognized
Am I still here?

Thanks for the info...

It turns out this particular incident was a simple jumper problem. I moved the jumpers and boom, 80 GB of storage goodness was available to me.

Yeah some drives have a 'limit size to 32GB' jumper...

Jim.
