I saw a page a few months back (for the life of me I cannot remember where) where individuals had posted their results from self-installing Toshiba DVD players internally into their B&W G3s.I followed some of the guidelines there when installing (an Tosh SDM-1202) into my own G3.The problem I'm having is that the player sees & recognizes the DVDs,but upon playing one it works for about a minute before locking up the entire system.I can however extract the DVD content with a third-party program (know the one I mean?) & suuccessfully mount it & then play it beautifully from the hard drive.I really dont'want to jump through too many hoops-just play the DVD the way it was intended.I have tried the master/slave thingy with the pin settings, making DVD rom master & zip drive slave & back & forth.No change from memory increases either.Maybe this just wont'work.(B&W G3/128/12gHD/2.2k DVD Player) Any ideas out there?......
Funny, We got a 3rd party DVD for our G4. And it does the same thing. It almost ALWAYS freezes on track 19, then 20 won't play, but if you skip to 21 it plays the rest through. Weird....
