OK I have been wanting to create an LED VU meter case mod for my quicksilver and found this easy circuit here web page. yes i have seen kits out there but this allows you to put the LEDs just where you want them and pick out what colors you want. here is what one pc guy did web page

any suggestions on connecting to the power supply? it says it outputs 5 and 12 v dc but I am not sure the best way to do that. the circuit is good from 3 to 20 VDC. all I know is it will be turned off when I do it.

Where would you suggest I drill the holes for the LEDs? in the case itself near the speaker or in the spare drive panel? thanx!
