I have a color classic project with a LC575 motherboard, 68040 @ 40Mhz and 132MB Ram. I would like to know if it's possible to change the memory access speed to allow fewer wait states with faster Ram. Bus speed is also 40Mhz. and would like to find 50ns 128MB ram to allow only one wait state instead of the present two wait states.

Also is it somehow possible to use the later and faster memory chips instead of the 72 pin EDO ram using something like the old simm savers? This would make it possible to run the memory access speed without any wait states.

All input on this subject/project will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

you may want to get a full fledged 040 insted of a LC040 that cache makes a lot of diffrence
