I just upgraded my PowerBook G3/333 with PowerLogix G4/500. Speed improvemend is not as high as expected but sufficient...

Unfortunately the exhaustor keeps on running all the time! I hate the noise. Is ventilation realy needed this much? The machine is not running this hot! Can I reduce the speed of the exhaustor, put a softer one in and raise the temperature?
