well i got a lite-on 24x burner, and hacked my trusty rev.c imac

it was really easy, just get an ide cable long enough to fit out of the case and a y-splitter for the power. hook it up to the hard drive ide bus, and power. then run the cables under the mother board and out the side, plug everthing in.

the only catch was my jumper settings, the hard drive is master so i figured the burner would be slave....but nope, wouldnt start up with it set up like that. thought maybe it was to much of a drain on the power, but i used some deduction and after giving up all hope that it would work , i set the burner to cable select, and so far it works awsome, in os9 and osx, disc burner, itunes, and toast 5....burns a full disc in toast in under 4 minutes

its super phat
w3rd..
