How has anyone replaced the HD on an iMacDVSE when those last 4 screws are so tiny and fragile. I'm afraid they will strip. Please help.

Hmmm. Either you are taking the wrong screws out or you are worrying too much! I work at a shop so I've probably replaced that drive 20 times.... The screws should not even come close to stripping if you use the right sized screw driver or anything close. You don't even have to take the hard drive carrier out - just removve the 2 ram chips and the 4 screws that hold the bottom of the HD to the carrier and slide it upward. You can definately do it!

Thanks for those who help with my problem. I ended up using a powered screw driver and it worked. I then just replaced those screws with 4 that are a bit larger and stronger. Now my iMac no longer hums like a refrigerator.
