I have the g4 733 digital audio (the one with the 1 mb backside cache, not like the QS that doesn't have it.) I want to be able to tell the tempreture inside my computer. I wish to know the temp. of the CPU and Vedio Card.

Is their a thermo probe made specificaly for macintosh, so the color scheme is the same? Or would I be able to get a one that would fit in the slot underneith the superdrive?

you can tell the core temp of the process with some utilitites (check Version tracker)

Thermo in the dock doesn't work with my CPU.

Not that it would be accurate, anyway. All of those utilities that check the chip's built-in temperature register are limited by the construction of the chip. That register is accurate only to +/- 12 degrees C. Not good enough for any real analysis, certainly.
