I'm telling ya, just pull it apart, cover the the top shell with masking tape stripes, paint it red, pull the stripes. Voila! Red and white stripes.
Then cut out masking tape stars, place them on the lower part, paint it blue and pull the tape stars. Voila! Blue field with white stars.
If I had $999, I'd do it.
