Yep, in a test run, she runs at -13 degrees C

I still have of work to do. I should have the window on the side cut tomorrow. My jigsaw blade went dull halfway through the cutting, and all my local hardwareshops were closed =\

Watercooling acrylic cube will still take some time to finish. I have to measure and cut out 3 more sides of the cube, and then file down 2 of the other sides i have finished, the breathing holes are a little rough .

I still need to rub out the side panels to be totally clear, and mount/paint the firewire dvd-windowed drive on top. I have a plextor 16x cd-r in it's normal 5 1/4 bay spot, so i had to move it up. I'm also working on a cool HDD circuit that i'm sure lots of you will enjoy. (i may sell them as a kit soon)

Now, I wish I had a tower.

Inside my Cube, evrything is so compressed, all you'll see is the back of the HD if I ever tried cutting into it. There would also be no room for the cooling tubes (which on your part, by the way, is an excellent idea). Instead of -13º celsius, mine goes at about 20º or more at its coolest. Instead, I was thinking of painting it. It would be a cool idea. I'll camouflage it or something.

What i meant by acrylic cube is not the g4 cube.(i think you got that, but anyway)

The radiator+fans will not fit inside the case with an extra PSU for the pelts, and the pump, so i decided to make like a little 6inch cube out of some acrlic i had lying around to house the radiator and fans. I have these neet dual shut-off quick disconnect fittings, so i can just press a button, and the water lines split with no spillage, and i can tote the case and cooling system painlessly.

Painting your g4 cube would definately be an awesome idea!

Since you obviously have a watercool system set up with your Mac, I was wonering if you can point me to a vendor that sells those watercool kits that would work on a Macintosh.

A few questions for you, if you don't mind:

1) Where can I purchase the kit you're using now? It appears to work fine on your Mac with no (little?) modification to the actual system. If it isn't a kit, can you give me a list of parts to buy?

2) Do you know or have any ideas of how I might get a watercool system into a beige G3 (ZIF socket.) I've seen a few kits for a Socket7 PC, would something similar to that work with a little or no modification?

ANY information would be extremely helpful.

What are you running just now, and what speed are you gonna OC it to? I reckon the 733 would run at 1Ghz + quite comfortably with that kinda temperature.

Keep up the good work.

(have you thought about stripping off the graphite paint from the front panel and making that Ice white, or maybe a wee fluoro light in it ince you get the side panel done?

It's not a kit. I just picked up a Danner Mag Drive pump from petsmart.com, and a maze2.2 from my pal den over at www.dangerden.com
You only need the maze 2 if you want to just watercool. (no pelts)
I have a dual g4 500, and luckily for me, i found that the 3 daughterboard mounting holes line up pretty squarely around the centerpoint of the cpus. Therefore, i have the daughterboard, coldplate, pelt, waterblock, plexi clamp down respectiveluy. The plexi clamp mount is just a 1/2" pecie of acrylicd mounted using the 3 screw holes in the daughterboard. I had to re-tap the mounts to fit the screws i picked up at a local hardware shop, as the threadding was a little too big. The radiator is a black ice donated by chip at www.overclock-watercool.com This radiator is a very nice performer for it's size

These blocks are made for amd and intel based systems, so i don't know about a g3.

I am running my dual 500 @ 600mhz at a nice -13 degrees C full load with 2 80 watt TEC's running at 13.5volts. I haven't tried higher, but the off die l2 cache is only rated at 250mhz, so i doubt much higher will be possible, After i sell off this system to get a G5, i'll do the same, and with it's on die L2 cache, i should be able to push the speed pretty high!

About the front bezel, the plastic is clear, and behind it is not paint, but rather a grey plastic template. Same goes for the keyboard. My panels are in the process of being sanded and buffed right now.

Cheers.
