Just ran some test and wanted to pass along what I found out. If you use iMovie at all you might want to take the plunge.
Both of these tests were done in OS X 10.1.2 on the same G4 using Apple Processor Cards. This is not an upgrade from anyone but the real G4 450 Processor Card from Apple I just purchased it from Electric Deal. The entire process of removing the heat sink, then the 3 screws, then the processor card, add the new card, put the 3 screws back and then place the heat sink back on top of the processor card took less than 2 minutes. I wanted badly to have more power to render in iMovie and I was pleasantly surprised that I gained so much more rendering power with just 100 more MHz. I used the exact same movie clips in both test and the results speak for themselves. I can honestly say that it was worth the 169.00 dollars I spent to get faster times in iMovie. I also gained some in iTunes importing and the frame rate with the visual affects was much improved. All my screensavers run very smoothly now. Many of the 1 bounce applications became less than 1 bounce with the 450 processor card but just by a little so I did not change those items that did not reflect at least a 1 bounce difference.
