With all the talk of moding iMacs I did many searches for info and diagrams about how the imac was built. I even peeked at the service manual. But there really wasn't much out there. These forums did help but again the info is limited.

So as I attempt to mod my iMac I thought it would be a good opportunity to make up some more reference materials for people who may later want to take on such projects. But I need a little help.

As I have very limited knowledge of computers and no real technical training I thought it best to ask the more knowledgeable people on the forum. So I have constructed a mini diagram of a slot loading iMac and labeled some of the parts. If anyone cares to help we can compile a legend for the diagrams.

Hope this ends up helping others down the road...

You know what would be really helpful? A macro close-up of the down converter board at 3000x1500 resolution, both sides.
