I read on xlr8yourmac that the 733 can be easilily overclocked to 800Mhz. Has anybody done this? Any long term after effects? Would I even experience the speed boost with day to day web browsing and illustrator work?

There is no such thing as an 'easy' overclock. It involves skill, research, and a willingness to ruin a computer for usually less than 100mhz, unless you come up with some other cooling options.
