Well the project which I mentioned has started. We have gutted my friends 62xx CD and have took the 6500 case apart. The tansplant seems very easy. The motherboard will slide right into the reciever slot. So I figure all the HD, CD, Floppy devices will work. There was one major differnence.
The connection between the 6500's supply and wiring harness is a 2x6, while the 6200 was a 1x6. Unfortunatly we do not have the 6500 powersupply, but do have the 6200. Now, I figure 6 wires... six wires... one is red. So we cut and spliced the other connector on. Plug it in and nothing. When we hit the power on the keyboard we can here a slight click. but nothing starts up.
The 6200 powersupply has six connectors in a row that read like this:
Blank PWR-OM Blank 5V TRKL COM -12V
Any way of figuring out how the 64/6500 power supply reads?
Any ideas?
