I own a 466 digital audio g4; and I feel like it's high time to upgrade that puppy. I've looked at overclocking, and it seems that the chances of getting anything more than 533mhz is unlikely, either booting would be a problem, or I'd spend losta cash on cooling systems (which would be leet, granted) that I could spend on a new and faster daughtercard.

But.... who sells them? Other World Computing had one that was a little over 800 (i forget the actuall speed...) a looong time ago. Ebay has something once every other month, but it's usually the product of a botched overclocking, and I'm not sure which daughtercards can work in my rig... Most "mac shops" dont seem to sell parts, but many posts (like the xlr8youmac g4 articles) mention getting a daughtercard from a dealer. Who are these dealers? There aren't any meatspace mac shops anywhere near my loaction, and I'm not seeing anyhting online either. Where do I get one?

Also, since I'm on a 133 mobo, what can I put in there? I know that the earlier apg g4s (100 mhz mobo) would play the ol %30 drop game. What if I find someone that wants to sell a Quicksilver daughtercard? Will those work in my box?

thanks for reading, yo!

Sonnet offers a dual processor upgrade for $699. I beleive that it is dual 500 G4s. I also saw an ad in Macworld (latest issue) that they would have 800 mhz & 1 ghz upgrades for AGP systems. Could not find any info on Sonnets website or macworlds get info website. Item number given for macworld's website is 133..Anybody else seen/heard anything?
