Hey!

I was wondering if anyone out there has had any personal experience with the external firewire hard drives that piranhatech.com (previously Alina Micro) sells. They seem to have the best prices that I can find and I wanted to make sure there wasn't some specific reason why they're cheaper besides just having good prices. Any input would be great! Thanks!

I actually bought from them about 2 months ago. I got the external 80GB 7200 rpm drive. The drive works well and the case is spiffy®, but Im not sure about the actual drive mechanism... it is a generic drive [which hasnt caused me any problems but i have no way to compare or rate its longevity]

I would probably buy again simply because of price..... hope that helps.
