I havn't seen too many people changing the look of the Apple recently and I was bored so I did it. Here's some pics.

Here's what it looks like when the iBook is on while it's in a lit room:

Here's what it looks like when the iBook is off:

Here's what it looks like when the iBook is on in the dark:

I'm thinking I will leave it like it is, but if I can come up with something a little more interesting I will change it again.

The only mod I've ever wanted to do on my iBook was overclock it - but I do have to admit, that thing is cute - the apple is a bit too purple for my tastes.

I think making the 6-color Apple logo out of it is pretty cool. That was all the rage when the new iBooks came out.

Edit: Correct English grammar is good, right?

Here's two more I did, I stuck with the blue one and it's now living in my iBook until I decide to change it.

Mine has a saturn in flames behind the apple - it's the logo from the Saturn Cafe in Santa Cruz CA. I don't have pictures (yet).

Stink different.

I doubt it, the screen is sealed in one peice so to get at the apple you'd need to separate the screen and good luck getting it all back together.

With the mods we did (<a href="http://homepage.mac.com/carl_norum/" target="_blank">http://homepage.mac.com/carl_norum/</a>), we found that all bets were off. Stan's machine took a standard sized metric allen wrench (don't remember which off the top of my head), but we had to make our own tool to get the lid off of mine. Who knows.

The Apple in mine was just like the first one you have there, except it said Got Mac? In the red part
