I'm modifying parts of an AIO G3 for an automotive application, and when I first opened the system I found that it has a special personality card with a connector that has signals going to the volume control/power button/headphones panel at the front of the system and the CRT power supply. I was only interested in getting the motherboard power supply, metal case and motherboard, and I trashed the CRT power supply and the rest of the system (it was broken anyway). However, now the system has an odd problem. The mouse skips around, skipping a few pixels at a time and having very unsmooth movement, and it didn't do that before I disassembled it and removed the connections to the CRT power supply. I'm guessing it has something to do with the ADB link used for CRT geometry adjustment (that link being gone now), but I'm not sure. Any ideas? If it needs another ADB device, I can use a mouse on the appropriate pins of the personality card. Can I use the card from another beige G3 to replace it and solve the problem? Thanks for any help.
