i have a pm 6500/225 running 9.0 with a 30 GB drive. it is full. i want to add a second one. any suggestions? scsi drives are
WAY too expensive. thanks.

You can't. It will only support one IDE device.

I had that same problem when I had a 6500. I tried to put a SCSI disk in the top bay, but it would overheat and unmount itself.

It might be cheaper to buy a USB PCI card and a USB hard disk.

your main problem will be that the upper bay is not ventilated enough to run a hard disk. It will overheat. how much is dependant on how much you use the disk.

you could get a fan to fit in the top bay, and cool it that way, but I think you're going to buy a 2nd IDE card, a big hard disk, and a fan t cool it with, you're going to turn your 6500 into a money pit real quick.
