Well.. my computer needs to get cooled down before I can overclock it, and you guys have to help. I have a 1st generation iMac, and am trying for creative ways of cooling it. I've thought of adding twin fans ABOVE the monitor, (still in the case though). THat should help a lot, but will the fan's motor's screw with teh tube? I mean, they have magnets, so would it affect the picture?

I've also heard of someone removing their speakers and installing fans. I'm VERY interested in this... does anyone know the guy who did it?

And lastly... peltier... anyone ever done this in an iMac? I know a guy who did it on his G3, complete with watercooling, but it condensed and fried. HEhe.

One of the easiest ways to cool the processor better with minor cost/effort is to apply thermal grease between the processor and the heatsink. It's cheap and easy.
Also, you could get one of the small "box fans" that are used on graphics/accelerator (placed on the heatsink) cards for cheap - and it uses the low (5v) connections available in may points on the Mac's insides.
