This post isn't really about hacking your mac per-se, but more about some random things I just read on Moto's page...

First, regarding Mezzanie slot...that thing is used by Moto to test CPUs, which means theoretically, RevA,B iMacs can have G4s plugged into them...that is if they are the same as the ones mentioned by Moto...just something to consider...

Also, guess what? Moto's test Mobo has 2 serial port, 1 parallel port, a keyboard PS2 port, a mouse PS2 port...all housed in an ATX case...the Mobo is code-named SandPoint. I guess with faster Mobos introduction speculated, Moto will need a new test board, but chances are, it'll probably be another generic PC board, since the controller chips (north/southbridge) are cheaper and easier to obtain...I was a little disappointed to find that out...oh well...
Oh yeah, they also have the full schematics of the SandPoint Mobo as well as PAL codes! interesting stuff for EE people...(laughing of disblieve...they use the 22V10 PAL!!! and simple equations, no meele or any other form of state machine...GodFather will know why I'm laughing) Anyone else noticed the big-o cache chip next to the G4 CPU? Interesting stuff...

That's all for the time being...man, I could almost drown myself on Moto's tech library...After that, I'll drown myself on IBM's library or Intel's...whichever is easier to access...
G4/450, T-bird 1.05GHz, iBook 500, iBook 233...4 different machines, 4 different OSes...(9, 2k, X.1, YDL2.2 respectively) PiA to maintain...
