Hi,
I read a post on PowerBook DVD Source that someone replaced the iMac CD-ROM with a laptop DVD-ROM and it works. I found out that the CD-ROM inside the iMac Rev. A is in ATAPI spec., so will the Toshiba SD-C2302 or the SD-C2402 support the Mac platform and fit into my iMac? Second, if I upgrade my iMac with the iForce 500MHz, I can watch DVD with software instead of a MPEG-2 add-on card, right?
Links for the DVD-ROM:

Thank you
