Anyone figured out if this is realistically feasible? The Rage 128 Mobility can handle 16 megs of VRAM, which has the added advantage of upping the memory bandwidth from 64 bit to 128 bit. Questions:

a) Is there space in the Pismo for the additional chips?
b) Is there a way to do this which won't trash your machine?

This would rock ! I have trouble running high resolutions with my powerbook on an external 21" screen, too. The new 2001 model powerbook should have 16mb's.
Can't you wait that long, Don?

Can I wait that long? Yes.

Do I have the money for another new computer? No.

Being a impatient person, I went out and bought a Pismo 400 a month ago. I would love to know how to upgrade this puppy to 16 megs if anyone knows how!

Anyone, anyone???
