Hi,
I noticed that the Formac's iProTV offers the iMac Rev.A to view TV and also gives the SCSI port as well. I have a question is if I but the iProTV and then an extenal SCSI CDRW drive, will it work on my iMac Rev.A? Second, will it work under Mac OS X? Since the iProTV card is around US$129 and I know that USB CDRW is so slow.
Thank you
Kenneth

USB is fast for at least 4X recording.
But if you want to waut 10 minutes instead of 20 minutes burning a CD, you should buy the Formac Card. It is a better deal if you need video, plus SCSI burners are cheaper than USB burners.

The Formac iProRaidTV is an excellent buy, I've had one over a year and am perfectly happy with it. Have 8x24 scsi burner and Minolta Filmscanner hooked up to my RevB that way. I'd buy now, 'cos I don't imagine they'll be manufactured for much longer. I think I even heard that they have actually stopped making them and it's just the channel clearing out now, but I may be wrong, I hope so.

Hi,
Thank you for the reply, I just received their pre-sales email. They said they will give support for Mac OS X, so I will buy after the July 4 holiday.
