hello all:

i would really like to install an IDE CDRW in my Blue G3/400 and NOT loose my DVD-RAM drive which is extremely useful for backups.

i thought at one time someone made a replacement bracket which would allow mounting a 2nd CD drive inside the G3 tower case. any info on where to get one or how to do it inexpensively? i called promax and they've got a 4-drive mount bracket for something like $99. i was hoping for something like $15.

thanks in advance for your help.

Yah, someone made one once but he had to replace the heatsink on the processor with a fridge or something. I forgot the URL but it looked nasty. Furthermore there are no nice bezels out there for the bottom tray (only for ZIP and SuperDrives, not CD drives).

it's doable w/ just a hacksaw. + some blue paint to make it look a little less ugly.
