I noticed that the Rev A iBook's motherboard is prepared for Firewire. On the place where in the newer iBooks is the FW-connector there are six little unused holes in the motherboard of the Rev A.
I don't know if we need an extra controler chip, or how to connect an connector to this spot(which pin goes where).
Or, if all would be possible, where to buy the right parts. Any idea's?

Yea, i noticed as well the pads for the FW, but the main problem is a) finding the FW controller chip and b) firmware, the firmware on the rev A's may not have the code to support the Firewire port... It may be possible to put the FW in... (like the ADB on the iMac) but i wouldnt try it myself.
