How long a mercury cell will last to power 1 led?

I think it can last very long, since led use use very small power, but exactly how long? A year???
I want to put 3-4 led in cube speaker, since there isn't a power source and it doesn't look good to have extra power cord so I am thinking to use very thin mercury cell (3v) to power led and hide the cell behind the magnet.

Any sugestion?

If it works, I might also put some more led inside the cube, and make the cube looks like a spaceship

Anyone see any blue LED? if yes, what is the voltage?

i've seen1.5 volt led's and 5volt led's . i dont believe i've seen any 3 volt ones though. ( i use a 5 volt blue led in my imac mouse) if you go with 1.5 volt you must use a resistor, and i dont know how that would look in the speaker. i like your idea though. i think it would look pretty cool. about the battery life??? wish i could say. only one way to find out......post your results, i would like to know :d

Thanks for the reply. Now I know there are blue LED. I can put two 1.5v led inline, then I don't need a resistor. I can calculate the battery life IF I can find the spec.
