I just moved to The Netherlands from the US and need to read my old US DVDs and new Dutch titles. So, I ran the hack and upgraded my firmware to x120. All ultilities claim I am now region free, but the DVD I just rented (region 2) won't play. It still plays all my US (region 1) titles.

I upgrade to 9.1 just prior to this, is the Apple DVD Region Manager immune to this hack under 9.1?

Anyone have success with this config? Perhaps I just rented a bad disk...

Unbelievable! The DVD disk was bad - what are the chances!!! All is well and the region hack worked.
