I have an Apple 17" CRT monitor. The 1999 version. The picture has become tweaked in such a way that it bows at the top and bottom, inwards, as if being squeezed. The settings control panel has adjustements for the sides but not the top and bottom. Does anyone know how to reset the monitor back to factory settings? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

have you tried switching resolutions? For example, I sometimes get different results when using 800 x 600 instead of 1024 x 768.

There's the "Display Adjustment Utility" that'll let you change just about anything on a Mac monitor.

Hmmm, I couldn't find it either, until I remembered that it was the servicer that put in on my drive...

It's only available for servicers normally (as the TILs indicate); but you can download it from my public iDisk: sebastienboisvert

Great little util. Allows to set the 'base' settings from which the control panel will make the adjustments. You can also restore the factory settings.

I suggest you also search the TILs on Apple's Knowledge Base for troubleshooting info on your monitor.

As always, the user is the only one responsible of any results from the use of the program. (ie. don't blame me, I'm not responsible for your actions!)
