I guess the subject line says it all. I'd like to get an internal modem for my Rev.A Platinum G3. Judging from the back, it looks like there's a slot for it, but I've never noticed anything inside (although, admittedly, I've never actaully been looking for it).

Any comments?

The internal modem for platinum G3s went on the personallity card (which also houses the sound and video chips. I'm pretty sure than an internal modem cannot be bought for one of these, as it would have to come from a different personallity card.

I could be wrong though

Well, I have confirmed the existence of an internal modem for the platinum G3. Unfortuantely, it supposedly knocks out your modem port. Anyone know a way around this?

That's the way Macs are Made. Apple must have thought, "heck, if they have an internal modem, why do they need a modem port?" If I remember correctly, there is no way around it.
