Does the seller guarantee compatibility with your specific Macintosh?

If not you're on your own to test and return it if it doesnt work. Make sure you have a no-cost return option.

PNY worked great in my Al. Powerbook G4. Two 512MB modules purchased at different times.

Didn't have the same luck with SimpleTech.

I also had a USB thumb drive by PNY die on me last year, after only a couple of months of use. Lame-o.

Their name brand RAM prices are decent, but their warranty is substandard. I refuse to indulge an OEM that fails to provide a lifetime warranty when all of its competitors do. (This "Mac Modification" area is the wrong forum for normal hardware questions, btw.)

I worked at Best Buy and the PNY memory sells very good.. I would put it in my machine.. I am actually at tech and we get alot of memory upgrades for various computers and if the PNY memory is on sale alot of people go for it.

I have a 1GB Pny Flash USB drive that i got this past black friday for $19.99 and it is working great. I have music, pictures, and work files stored on there..

Comparing the thumb drive to RAM sticks is hardly the same. Thumb drives get bent, flexed, mistreated, etc. RAM just sits in the slots.

I have found PNY memory to be very good. It works. Just make sure you are not buying any high-density junk and it should work in your mac.

I won't buy PNY for a few reasons.

1. I purchased a Compact Flash card from them was a FACTORY SEALED and still had an image on it.

2. Was looking at Dual Channel memory for my G5 and one of the "matched pair" had a CompUSA
price tag on it with the sku number for the the single module on it.

3. The same USB drive early death issue.

I have a question, I'm repairing 10 ibooks (clamshell 300-366) and need memory, would I be wrong to buy 'high density' 256mb synch pc133 memory for $12 each?

I need cheap memory, but your comment I found, about high density memory made me a bit hesitant.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
