Yes, I'm embarrassed, but I can't kill Lizbeth even after reading the walkthroughs on various hint sites.
I'm told to attack and run using the War Cannon and Ectoplasm, waiting until she begins to glow.
Then attack again, and when she "looks dizzy," decapitate her using the scythe.
I've gotten her to glow sometimes, but never have I seen her "look dizzy."
One hint site you can also kill her with the shotgun, but that has no effect that I can see, and I wonder if this is a difference between the PC and Mac versions.
Anyone else have a different tip, or some idea what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!

I think you need to use an alternate fire scythe attack -- where it drains health from the enemy and passes it to you.

Thanks, but that's not it. I've tried that many times.
I'm getting bored playing this sequence so many times: I have 27 health packs as the battle begins, but I still can't kill her. I'm beginning to suspect that the Mac version differs from the PC version a bit in this battle. Hint pages rate this battle as "easy," saying all you have to do is wait her out. Not so in the Mac version: trust me!
I made my 35th try yesterday, and I'm way past frustration and into boredom. I'd like to move, as I'm only about a 3rd of the way through the game. If I can't, I'll feel like I paid full price to get only 33% of a game.
I've seen cheat codes that allow you to jump to any segment in the game.
I don't know if these cheats work in the Mac version, but to try I'd need to know the name of the scene immediately following the death of Lizbeth.
I don't suppose anyone knows that....?
Thanks!
PS: If anyone from Aspyr reads this, please consider the possibility that there's something wrong with the code at this point. It's like a wall in the game: can't get past it.

Just hammer on her with the regular scythe attack while strafing around until she gets all woozy and wobbly, then connect a full power alternate fire scythe attack with her neck. They can't have changed how it's done because the cutscene that follows then wouldn't make much sense.
[edit: or maybe you behead her when she glows? Whichever the case was try to do a full strength, alternate fire, health draining scythe attack -- the slow one]

I'm not aware of a demo for the Mac. However, this is a great game, my problems with Lizbeth notwithstanding.
I recommend it, and I don't like first-person shooters as a rule... this was the exception for me.
If you have a 3D acceleration card, don't even think about it: just get it!

I finally killed her!!!
Interestingly, she wasn't glowing (showing poor health), nor was she standing still "looking dizzy."
I got her with a lucky strike with the scythe after setting her on fire with the shotgun.
One tip for others.... I think that I was too close to her previously when using the scythe. This time I swung at her even tho' she looked a little too far away to make contact.
I think -- and this is just a hypothesis -- that my swings before actually went past her, that is, by being too close, the blade made its arc behind her.
Anywho..... whew!
It took me about 50 battles to get her. Hope the above helps you get her a bit faster!
