What is the general sense of Game Compatibility under 10.2? If you're so inclined, why don't you post what games you know work or don't work.

For me, I cannot get Icewind Dale to load my saved games - the application will crash about 1/2 through.

What else doesn't work? And of those games that do work in 10.2, do they work better or worse?

Thanks.

Compatibility issues are really the main reason I have yet to install Jaguar despite the box sitting on my desk. I'll wait for a few weeks for the hitches to be sorted out and updates for my games and apps to trickle through... I certainly learned that lesson when installing OSX a bit too soon for my own good.

It appears that the UT patch that allows you to run under X dies. I wonder if there will ever be a patch since they are working on the new version of UT.

Unreal was the last reason I have for booting into OS9

UT works for me but performance is worse that 10.1. WC3 still needs tweaking because it is still choppy on my 700mhz iMac. Sometimes the keyboard gives out in Max Payne. Its probably just me but Max Payne crashes every once in a while. Starcraft runs pretty well though.

I'm running 10.2 on my Ti550/512MB and love UT OS X beta preview 3. Unfortunately, UT slowed down a little on my laptop too. I just had to turn down the detail levels and number of bots. Now it runs pretty smoothly now. Wish I had the Dual 1.26 Ghz though. Let's hope there will be a Jag optimized beta copy of UT soon!

On my G4 500 MHZ with Jaguar I have tested Survivor, AOE2, Quake 3, and JewelToy. All of them work fine.

Racer (the alpha car simulated) runs better under Jaguar than 10.1.x. In fact, for the first time ever, I could actually play the game (move the car.)

hmmm...UT X, Quake III, Max Payne, RtCW, and Spider-Man all seem to work fine here, Sawtooth 450, Jaguar. haven't tried Racer yet, though. now that would be exciting if it worked!

Unreal Tournament plays under Jaguar for me, but the performance is now awful. I'm on a 933 G4, 768 megs of Ram, Geforce 4 MX with 64 megs of ram. It used to play flawlessly with every detail maxed out. However, now when I play, I get a lot of lagging, and skipping, and basically it's not fun to play. I'm really disappointed, and hope there is a patch out soon. If anyone comes across one, please post it here.
