Hi,

I tried to install Quake 3 by copying the baseq3 folder from my PC Quake 3 CD... then I applied the 1.30 OSX patch. It keeps telling me that it couldn't load the default.cfg file. I tried to install it on my PC and the copied the file, which is just a commented line anyway.

ANybody have a clue ?

Thanks

it doesn't work like that, unless those files are on a hybrid install disc and specifically for the Mac.

The data is exactly the same, it's just the executable. I've already done a Linux Quake 3 Install with a Quake 3 Cd without buying the linux version, you just have to download the binaries. I'm sure it can be done with a mac too.

Read before type.
