Anyone looking forward to Everquest for the Mac? I believe it is due Spring 2003.

I come from the PC world and EQ is something I gave up to move to the Mac. I played it pretty much everyday for 3 years. I'm looking forward to playing it on the Mac next year.

Are there any other former EQ on PC folks here?

I am kind of looking foward to it, but I don't know if I'd have the time to play it or not so I still can't decide whether or not to buy it.

I'm a EverQuest addict on the PC.

I was completely looking forward to the Mac release, but then I read that its not compatible with the PC version - that is, you can't play with PC users. You basically get your own server.

Not interested anymore. You think I want to recreate all my characters? I want to play EQ on the server I currently play on, with my characters.

I think this one is going to be a tough sell unfortunately. It seems most mac people aren't as addicted to games as pc people (if they were they probably switched awhile ago).

you tend to see this on gameranger (less than 100 people on whenever i log in).

this game will take a serious time commitment and the world will probably seem sparce since there just aren't as many mac users out there as pc users.

i hope this doesn't hurt us getting future games if this doesn't work out though.

I'm looking forward to it myself... The way I look at it, I get to start fresh in a place where all the PC users have done the beta testing for me With the expansion packs right from the go, how can you go wrong...

This and MOO III are on my to do list next year... Not quite sold on FFXI Online yet. Requires more hardware for the PS2.
