After getting distracted and playing other games for several months, just a minute ago I decided I wanted to get back into Icewind Dale. I keep most of my CD's in a pile on my bookshelf, so all too often I lose a CD or two -- and that's just what happened. I located CD1, but can't find CD2, and the game seems to require CD2 to be in the drive to play (CD1 is apparently not acceptable).

I did a full install, so the sole purpose of requiring the CD is to prevent piracy... and I can assure you, I am a legal owner of Icewind Dale for Macintosh.

Does anyone know of any method to play a full install of this game without CD2?

Must be annoying. I remember losing the Sims CD and not being able to play until I found the CD again. Grr.

Anyway, there are cracks that should let you play the game without the CD (unless that CD is actually required to play the game.) Hopefully there is a Mac version of that crack for you.
