What is WCIII like? Is it good?

Hi,
I haven't played too many games but here are the ones that I have liked: Icewind Dale and Diablo II.
Knowing this, do you think I will like WCIII? I want to get a new game (waiting for Neverwinter Nights and Jedi Knight II), should I get WCIII?

WC3 is an awesome game. I think it made yet another record for 1 million copies sold or something like that. If you have every played Starcraft, it is like that but in the past. WC3 is one of the few strategy games that is 3D as well. The best part about WC3 is being able to go on battle.net and play millions of other people at random. I definetly would suggest that you buy it, I was thinking of buying a 2nd copy! just to use 2 comps on battl.net at once.

Warcraft III is a game that you have to sit and play to like it. My roommate saw me playing Warcraft III and he think it's stupid game until he played it, he's way more hooked with it than I am.
If you like Diablo 2 then you will like Warcraft III even more because it used Diablo's leveling up system.

I was never really into strategy/combat sim games, even though I played StarCraft a while ago. Then, I went out on a limb and bought WCIII and I'm hooked already! Once you get the hang of the troop movements, building structures, etc. it's easy to maneuver. The graphics on a higher-end system (G4, 800mhz here) are great.
I'd recommend it if you liked Diablo II...even though the actual gameplay is different, it still has that "feel" to it.

Yeah, WC3 is easily my Favorite Game of the Moment, beating out the long-standing Unreal Tournament/StarCraft tie which held my full attention for the past few years. 
WC3 is a strategy game, so it's somewhat unlike Diablo II. However, so many people enjoy it I think you'd find it hard not to fall in love. Unlike SC, WC3 is game which depends on momentum and action (if you're gonna be good). So while SC and WCII were more like SimCity than Myth, WC3 is more like Myth than SimCity (ahh... SimCity. Another Game of the Moment ).
We should organize an NN WC3 game. Now that would rock.
