Does anyone remember that game The Legend of Kyrandia? It came out like the early 90's for system 7. You were a peasant boy or something and you collected these jewels, and the bad guy was a Clown/jester name Malcolm?

I found my old installer disks, saved them all to my hard drive and installed from there. It's great fun... lots of memories.

I remember seeing it on the PeeCee in 93 or so. Maybe it was LoK2, though my memory is fuzzy on the matter.
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Well, I guess it won't do any good to ask if anyone here knows how to get past the part I'm stuck on (I didn't know there was a pc version, maybe I'll try a gaming forum). It's a great game- if anyone can find it I would recommend buying it (it can't cost more than a few bucks).

It's probably almost impossible to buy it nowadays. And chances that you find the Mac version in a garage sell are next to none...you might find the PC version if you're lucky.

I'd probably just try to find it on the net and never tell anyone.

Come to think of it... I do have an iDisk... I think someone could find it on the web (if I could only afford to upgrade to Cable)

I actually still have this game installed from about 1994. Whenever I get a new machine, I transfer the old drives wholesale without sorting or throwing away anything. So it's been installed on my last 4 computers.

Great game, and it used to look awesome on my old 15" monitor (not so good under X on a 17" studio display).

I think I got stuck at the part where you collect the jewels and so I stopped playing, all those years ago. Ah, memories...

I just fixed the bird's broken wing, and now I'm on the quest to feed the jewels to the altar in the correct order. Start playing it now, and then we can help each other when we get stuck. I for one know that if I have to spend too much time on one part, I won't finish the game. And I would like to finish the game.

Hopefully I am not doing anything wrong, but I am posting the link to a downloadable version of LoK. It's been on this site for a while, and it seems like the publisher has dropped support on it, so they don't care that it is there. The site is VERY public, so mods, please don't ban me.

Legends of Kyrandia

And--- don't quote me on this, but I believe the engine used in Legends of Kyrandia is a decendant of Leisure Suit Larry and King's Quest, which means that maybe in the future Sarien will suppot running it in OS X.
